Seed Grants Winners Announced

CBSA administers an internal seed grant program intended to develop promising interdisciplinary research with a strong data analytics component. The 2020 call for proposals was framed around NSF's 10 Big Ideas.  Over $70K was granted to three exciting winning proposals:

• Zachary Neal and Bruce Sagan, "Extracting the backbone of complex human networks"

• Natalie Phillips and Devin McAuley, "The Neuroscience of Pleasure and the Power of Literature"

• Kaitlin Torphy, Kenneth Frank, and Jiliang Tang, "Building a Nationally Representative Sample of Teachers’ Online and Offline"

We look forward to interesting discoveries from all three proposals! Look out for the 2021 call for proposals in November.
